Meet Dr. Emily Hortman

Dr. Emily Cooper Hortman is from Columbia, South Carolina. She graduated from the University of South Carolina with a bachelor's degree in biology, followed by a DMD and a postdoctoral residency at the Medical University of South Carolina, where she also obtained her Advanced Education in General Dentistry credential. She studied advanced implant dentistry, implant-supported prostheses, cosmetic dentistry, and treating patients with specific needs during her residency.

My wife and I are new to the area and were lucky to find Dr. Emily Hortman. I just had a dental emergency where a cap came off an old tooth and it was causing me some discomfort. Palmetto Dental worked me into their schedule and I now have a new temporary cap with a new one on the way.

They always send reminders for appointments and are easy to work with if your schedule gets messed up and you need to change appointments.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Hortman. The first and most important thing is she does an incredible job. She has fixed two crowns and put in a bridge for me. I have a lot of damage from an ATV accident and she has not only kept up with previous repairs but fixed many of them and improved how they feel from prior dentists. She is personable and explains what the plan is and works with you. If anyone is looking for a new dentist, look no further!
